Storm Window Installation is Easier Than You Think!
Storm window installation can be easier than you think! The storm windows you choose, whether they are interior or exterior, must be hung square to the original window. They have to be sealed on all sides to offer the most in energy savings for your home. However, they should be easy to remove for both cleaning and storage. Installing storm windows in a new construction makes it easy to ensure that you have the right size window, and that the seals will work properly year after year. If you choose exterior storm windows, keep in mind that they will have to have "weep holes" in the bottom of them. These tiny holes allow condensation to escape from the area between the storm window and the original window. Though this does make a dent in energy-efficiency, it preserves the view out of your windows by keeping the area free of clouding.
