Multi-Paned Windows Give Crisp Precision to Handsome Home

Who doesn't thrill to a brigade of cadets in formal dress stepping precisely down the parade grounds? That's the affect these double-hung windows, with their tidy little white-framed panes and navy "lapels" have on this house. They have been designed as the dominant architectural element of the exterior, but are of course as functional as they are attractive. Because they open from both top and bottom, they are easy to clean, even on the second story - some models even tilt inward for cleaning. These windows provide excellent emergency exits because nothing protrudes from nor blocks the opening. The muntins are enclosed between the sealed dual-panes of the windows, so cleaning is much easier than windows with external muntins. The gables on this house create a nice counterpoint to all the rectangles of windows, shutters, shingles and stone. Who says crispness and gracefulness are mutually exclusive?
