Carved Stone Arch door way with Double Wooden Three Panel Doors
Exterior double wooden doors provide passage through a tremendous carved stone arch door way. The doors are a three panel design with each of the panels equal in size and spaced evenly over the face of the door. The panels and the door's frame are both constructed of the same wood, likely mahogany. The deep red tones of the wood and the simplicity of the three panel design do not detract from the main focal point, the archway. Each panel is trimmed with bolection, a type of raised molding that joins the panel of doors to the framework. Each door has an antique bronze door handle affixed to a matching plate. The kick plate on each door, intended to help protect the door, is an antique bronze finish. To fit the doors into the space beneath the arch, another panel of matching wood has been installed above the door's lintel.
