Brown Four Panel Exterior Door with Galley Porthole Window

This exterior four panel door has a large top vertical panel, a much smaller horizontal panel directly beneath the door's mid rail, and two smaller raised panels side by side near the bottom on the door. The top panel has both a porthole window and a rosette, most likely to cover a bore hole that was made in the door at one time. Another piece of decorative hardware resembling a door pull has been centered in the door's mid rail. The panel running parallel to the mid rail looks as though it could have had a mail slot at one time. The door's bottom rail is showing signs of wear. Instead of refinishing the door, the wear could also be hidden by the addition of a kick plate, perhaps in a shiny nickel finish to match the door's handle or purchased with a baked enamel finish to match the shade of brown of the door.
