Red Wooden Exterior Framed and Filled Door with Patterned glass Lite

This exterior wooden framed and filled door is the perfect choice for this house because the boards on the door's weather face provide repetition and variation of the planks used in the home's siding. Instead of a top rail on the outside of the door, this framed and filled door has a bottom rail. The door includes a lite (window within a door) of patterned glass which allows natural light to enter the home on a wall that otherwise has no window. Patterned glass also allows for privacy in high traffic areas. The door and the door threshold that takes the place of the sill have both been painted red. Painting the door threshold a matching color so bold and in contrast with the cornflower blue of the house draws attention to the wear on the sill. Hardware includes a satin nickel door lever and a lock with a matching satin nickel escutcheon.
